Performances

The students of The St. Laurent School of Dance participate in performances that showcase the work they do
throughout the year.

Recitals

All students have the opportunity to perform in School Recitals. These productions are held in theaters, most recently Paliku Theater at Windward Community College. With professional sound and lighting, students experience the true feeling of performing on a professional stage.

Each recital is a new production. It may be based on a single storyline, such as "The Tail of the Mermaid" and "Dorothy in Oz" or organized around one or more themes such as "Come Dancing" and "Gotta Dance, Gotta Sing."
“Come Dancing” and “Gotta Dance, Gotta Sing.”
These performances are truly memorable for students and parents. Although as in any theater performance, personal photography of any sort is prohibited, a professional video is produced and the School arranges for a photographer to take portraits in costume as ordered by parents.

The Junior Performing Company

Each year, auditions are held to accept outstanding dancers into the Junior Company. These students attend additional classes at no additional charge. The Junior Company is featured in special numbers during School recitals, performs Christmas programs at senior facilities, and is available to hire for special events.
